Life of Pi - discuss next week?
Shall we plan to start discussing "Life of Pi" at the end of next week? Does that give those of you who haven't read it yet enough time?

Fed up with a traditional book club where few people were showing up for meetings anymore and even fewer were reading the books, we decided to form an online group. This way, we can have an actual, well thought-out conversation about a novel or book and nobody even has to clean their house.

Um, I need to borrow the book MamaChristy, but I don't want to risk spreading the icky germs at my house! Ya'll go on without me..... if things work out, maybe I can catch up next week.

I'm ready to go on this one. Can I say up front, I was very disappointed? Those of you who liked it need to marshal up your arguments in its favor; I'm trying to figure out how this thing won the Booker.
But -- truly -- eager to discuss it and ready whenever everyone is. Happy 2007, y'all!
